Sound file created from a paper print of a gramophone disc from the "gramophone scrapbook" in the Emile Berliner papers at the Library of Congress, produced by Patrick Feaster using the "optical film sound track" method (May-June 2010; corrected version July 2010; see http://www.phonozoic.net/eep.html for information about the playback). Recorded in Hanover, Germany, 11 November 1889. See analysis, transcription, and English translation in Patrick Feaster and Stephan Puille, "E. Berliner’s Grammophon: The Beginnings of the German Talking Machine Industry (Part 2)," The Sound Box: The Journal of the California Antique Phonograph Society 28:3 (Sept. 2010): 3-7.
